Purpose of RoleThe Designer role will work closely with the Senior Designers to implement our brand via our established templates as well as through custom solutions to maintain brand consistency and generate new ideas across both print and digital collateral materials by achieving visually creative and optimal solutions supporting our firm’s marketing needs which consist of brochures, proposals, advertisements, campaigns, initiatives, events and digital marketing such as apps and websites. Key Responsibilities Works with Senior Designers and teams (offices, practice groups, sector groups, and global marketing service and business development team), to produce high quality and best-in-class design and service according to clients’ needs and requirements, Supports brand application across all channels Supports the Senior Designers in the layout and print production of firmwide collateral which may include brochures, newsletters, invitations, web pages, advertisements and other new media initiatives Works closely with the Senior Designers to support the firmwide design process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products, focusing on a quality product and level of service Adheres to process best practice and application of brand/corporate identity, meeting demanding timelines File management (local and across time zones) in support of the Creative team. Provides artwork and best placement of branding on promotional items Builds decks in support of pitches and Firm conferences under the oversight of the senior design team Supports Word-based pitches with artwork and image placement Prioritizes workload to ensure delivery deadlines are met Flexibility with working hours in order to meet deadlines and collaborate with colleagues and team members in other time zones. Assembles conceptual files to prepress, print production and external supplier specifications; Adheres to all privacy, bar association, SLA or anti-spam control and any other legal requirements affecting marketing-related material or initiatives RequirementsCommunication Develops relationships with internal clients, global creative team and other fee earners and support departments to ensure smooth delivery of creative initiatives Qualifications University degree or university level diploma in graphic/web design A thorough and advanced knowledge of Adobe CC software Good design portfolio (print and web) with 3+ years' experience; previous experience working in a corporate or professional services environment preferred Ability to manage multiple projects with day-to-day deliverables, demonstrated ability to change tasks quickly per changing demands Experience working with external service providers A good working knowledge of branding, corporate identity systems and identity application Understanding of information design, interface design and interaction design A good understanding of the limitations/advantages of different web techniques (i.e. HTML 5 vs. alternatives) with respect to design, usability and maintenance efforts Working knowledge of PowerPoint design and layout either in a corporate or pitch environment Working knowledge of template development within Microsoft Office applications Good understanding of creative briefs and digital asset libraries Technical knowledge of printing and online production processes Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to quickly establish good working relationships and promote best practice across all offices and at all levels Comfortable working in team environments and demonstrates an ability to work on extremely tight schedules Well organized in order to successfully manage a varied and sizable workload Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work, including a strong focus on accuracy and an understanding of the need for documentation and well-defined procedures Polite and confident in manner and ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in an organizational setting Shows resilience to overcome obstacles to deliver what is required Carries out all responsibilities in a way which supports the firm’s values and promotes its equal opportunities and diversity principles A passion for all things design
