Position Summary The Director, Enterprise Digital Launch plays a crucial role in the digital transformation of Flagship's newly launched companies. This role requires a strong understanding of the early-stage life sciences ecosystem and experience with digital technologies that support data science, engineering, and computational biology functions. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the digital launch of new Flagship companies, ensuring alignment with scientific objectives, and managing the integration of cutting-edge digital technologies. Emphasizing collaboration with program and product owners, the role ensures a consistent and impactful digital launch process, underpinned by continuous feedback loops that guide both strategy and execution. Key Responsibilities: Digital Launch Strategy & Planning: Lead the planning and execution of digital launch strategies, ensuring alignment with the unique needs of enterprise companies and industry standards. Technology Integration & Deployment: Coordinate the integration and deployment of specific technologies, including AWS Storage Gateway, Laboratory Data Transfer, Data Management, Benchling ELN, LIMS systems, aligning with scientific goals and ensuring a smooth launch. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration with program and product owners, technology, scientific, and business teams, facilitating continuous feedback and alignment. Laboratory & Research Support: Provide hands-on support for digital transformation within laboratory environments, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with scientific goals. Vendor & External Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with technology vendors and external partners, aligning their contributions with the digital launch strategy and industry standards. Innovation & Emerging Technology Scouting: Stay abreast of emerging digital trends within life sciences, translating insights into actionable launch strategies. Compliance & Security Oversight: Ensure all digital launch initiatives adhere to regulatory compliance, risk management, privacy, and security standards. Budget & Financial Management: Oversee budget planning and financial management, aligning with digital launch strategies and the specific needs and goals of enterprise companies. Communication & Marketing: Lead the communication and marketing of digital launch programs and products, ensuring clarity, alignment, and effective utilization. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years' experience in digital strategy or technology management, with at least 5 years in the Biotech or Pharma sector. Proven experience in digital launch strategy and implementation in the life sciences or related field. Hands-on expertise with bioinformatics tools such as BLAST, BioPython, Galaxy, GenBank, R, and Bioconductor. Strong understanding of cloud computing, especially in research environments, and familiarity with platforms such as AWS. Extensive vendor management experience, specifically with technology vendors related to digital launch initiatives. Demonstrable experience with Laboratory IT systems, including AWS Storage Gateway, Laboratory Data Transfer, Benchling ELN, LIMS systems. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. A degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or another related field is highly desirable. Friendly, communicative, collaborative approach, and adaptable to a dynamic startup culture. The Director, Enterprise Digital Launch is expected to be a strategic leader with deep expertise in digital technologies and a profound understanding of the life sciences industry. They will be instrumental in shaping the digital landscape of Flagship's newly launched companies, supporting the growth of early-stage data science, engineering, and computational biology functions. The ability to innovate, lead complex projects, and align digital initiatives with scientific goals will be key to success in this role.
