What will you do?As a Loads and Dynamics Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and simulating the structural loads and dynamics of new and modified air vehicles. Essential Job Functions:Conduct static flight and maneuver loads analysis, dynamic gust and turbulence analysis, and static and dynamic ground analysis using analytical and computational methods Analyze the dynamic behavior of aircraft structures, including vibration, resonance, and flutter (including propeller whirl flutter), to ensure the designs meet safety and performance requirements.Perform finite element analysis on aircraft components to evaluate their structural strength and stiffness, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.Develop and validate load distribution schemes to accurately represent loads on various structural elements of the aircraft.Utilize advanced simulation tools, such as Nastran, Ansys, or similar software, to perform loads and dynamics analyses effectively. What are we looking for?BS and/or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, or similar Engineering field5+ years of experience (Loads and Dynamics Engineer) or 10+ years of experience (Senior Loads and Dynamics Engineer)Experience in aircraft/rotorcraft static loads and criteriaExperience with static and dynamic load derivation for aircraftExperience developing aeroelastic analysis modelsExperience or expertise in MSC NASTRAN, ZAERO, or similar tool is requiredExperience or expertise in coding with MATLAB and/or PythonFamiliarity with Patran, FEMAP, RCAS, Adams, or comparable toolsExperience with ground vibration and/or static load testsMust be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident) Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and experience with CFD analysis Familiarity with FAR Part 23 and 25 loads and dynamic requirements and complianceExperience working with Structures FAA DERs a plusKnowledge or experience with Aeroservoelastic analysesCompensation and BenefitsLoads and Dynamics Engineer: $94, 718 - 154, 768*Senior Loads and Dynamics Engineer: $114,609 - 187,270**This pay range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
