We promote investment in projects and assets necessary for a rapid transition to a low carbon and climate resilient economy.Our main workstreams are green bond standards and certification, data and market analysis, policy and market development, communications and advocacy.Climate Bonds is a fast growing, dynamic NGO driven by a big mission. You will be working within an organisation that is leading the development of innovative international climate finance solutions.Role explanation Support the CBI policy team to influence Japan’s climate transition policy in accordance with the CBI’s mission at the regional level and in relation to the member states’ position in ASEAN through proactive analysis of governmental, industrial and financial positions Support policy managers advocacy and promotion of the role of sustainable finance in climate transition in key sectors (i.e. energy, buildings, industry) Act as a key point of contact for the policy team internally for CBI, ensuring excellent communication within and between teams Key Responsibilities Proactively monitor and analyse key policy initiatives on transition with a focus on Japan but potentially including EU, US, China, and Latin America, ensuring teams across CBI are informed of key announcements and events that could influence the development and implementation of policy in Japan. Develop communication materials and presentations Draft policy blogs, briefs, reports on sectoral transition Coordinate and organise project activities, acting as liaison between Japan team and project departments in Climate Bonds. Assisting in the project management of all Japan programmes, including updating the PMF in collaboration with the PAL team, overseeing programme administration to ensure the smooth operation of programmes, highlighting and escalating any potential issues and risks Ensuring accurate tracking of all costs and income relating to events for the Japan Programmes Mapping of stakeholders in ASEAN/Japan for zero-carbon transition in key sectors (i.e. energy, buildings, industry) Key Relationships External stakeholders in government, industry, finance and civil society in Japan Communications, Partnerships, Standards, Certifications and Markets in CBI Transitions Programme Manager Health & Safety Take care for the health and safety of self and others who may be affected by my work Co-operate fully with CBI’s management with regard to the requirements of Health and Safety legislation to allow the duties and requirements to be carried out or complied with.
