Why we're hiring: The role purpose of a QA/Test and Data Analyst is to ensure the quality and accuracy of data used in various systems and applications. They are responsible for analyzing data, identifying anomalies, and verifying data integrity. The QA/Test and Data Analyst collaborates with stakeholders to understand data requirements, develop testing methodologies, and implement data quality checks. Their role is critical in ensuring data consistency, reliability, and adherence to data standards, ultimately supporting informed decision-making and reliable data-driven insights for the organization. Reporting into the QA/Test Manager for D365 you will be instrumental in working in the program from the inital setup through to delivery and across future market deployments and platform updates (minimum 2 mandated per year) What you'll be doing: The key responsibilities of the D365 QA/Test and Data Analyst include: Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 system. Conducting data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within the D365 data to provide valuable insights to stakeholders. Designing and executing data validation tests to ensure the integrity and reliability of data used in D365 processes. Assisting in data migration efforts, validating data mappings, and ensuring successful data transfers into D365. Developing test plans and test scenarios specific to data validations and data-driven functionalities in D365. Conducting data-centric testing, verifying data transformations, and validating data-driven functionalities in D365. Identifying and documenting data-related defects, and working with the development team to resolve issues. Creating data visualizations and reports to present data analysis findings to stakeholders. Maintaining detailed documentation of data validations, test results, and data analysis reports. Working closely with other team members, such as QA testers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and coordination. Ensuring compliance with data governance policies and data privacy regulations within the D365 environment. Identifying and recommending data cleaning processes to maintain data quality. Participating in data transformation efforts to align data with business requirements and standards. Utilizing data mining techniques to extract meaningful information and support business decision-making. Identifying opportunities to improve data quality, testing processes, and data analysis methodologies. Work with business stakeholders to construct test and meta data to support test case execution. Demonstratable experience in testing integrations across various implemention methods including but not limited to batch, real time, overnight, message queues, API, WebServices By fulfilling these responsibilities, the D365 QA/Test and Data Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data within Microsoft Dynamics 365, providing valuable data insights to stakeholders, and contributing to the successful implementation and usage of D365 solutions within the organization. What you'll need: The skill requirements for a D365 QA/Test and Data Analyst typically include a combination of technical, analytical, and communication skills. Here are some key skills needed for this role: Strong data analysis skills to assess data quality, identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within the D365 system. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, its data structures, and functionalities to effectively perform data analysis and validations. Ability to design and execute data validation tests to ensure data integrity and accuracy within D365. Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques to present data analysis findings in a clear and meaningful manner. Familiarity with SQL queries and database management to access and manipulate data within D365. Understanding of data transformation processes to align data with business requirements and standards. Knowledge of data mining techniques to extract valuable insights and support decision-making processes. Skill in developing test plans and executing data-centric test scenarios to validate data-driven functionalities in D365. Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks to automate repetitive test cases and improve testing efficiency. Ideally experience with RSAT. Ability to identify, document, and communicate data-related defects to the development team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present data analysis findings to stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data-related issues and identify solutions. Understanding of data governance principles and data privacy regulations to ensure compliance within the D365 environment. Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including QA testers, developers, and business analysts. Proficiency in maintaining detailed documentation of data validations, test results, and data analysis reports. Commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in data analysis techniques and D365 functionalities. Having these skills enables the D365 QA/Test and Data Analyst to effectively perform data analysis, ensure data quality, support testing efforts, and provide valuable insights to stakeholders, contributing to the success of Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations within the organization.
