This is a full time, permanent, non - remote position based in Costa Rica and does not offer relocation benefits. Job applicants must be located and legally authorized to work in Costa Rica in order to be eligible for consideration.Our Defect Prevention & Reconciliation (DP&R) team is responsible for ensuring Amazon’s High Standards around the supply workflow at our Fulfillment Centers. We work to reinforce the relationship between Amazon and its vendors by providing timely, clear and concise communication and resolution around the disputes that result from a defect during the inbound process. Our mission is oriented towards the reduction and prevention of chargebacks and defects, educating the vendor and strengthening our customer relation and experience. As a Quality Team Manager you will directly manage a team of up to 15 quality specialists. You are responsible for your team’s performance and development and you are accountable for the experience of your direct reports. You conduct performance reviews for your team in accordance with Amazon’s people management standards and guidelines. You support attracting talent and you actively participate in recruiting processes. You demonstrate a good understanding of Amazon Leadership Principles and you apply them effectively within your team and for hiring decisions.You have a solid understanding over team key process indicators and you are able to address negative variations via root-cause analysis and preventive and corrective actions. You have a solid understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflows that apply to the daily work of your team. You may partner with other managers, internal stakeholders and customers to onboard new initiatives or conduct improvement initiatives on existing processes.Prior applying, please consider the following information about the role:This is not a virtual position. If selected for this role, you will be required to work from our SJO15 building, located in the America Free Zone (AFZ), Cariari, Heredia, in a hybrid-model, attending two days to the office and three days from home.Our only production schedule for this role is Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm.
