We are looking for a Regional Manager for our Market Sizes Department in Kuala Lumpur. You will be joining our global team, reporting to the Head of Mintel Market Sizes, who is based in London. Mintel works with many of the world’s biggest consumer brands, delivering market, innovation and consumer data, as well as strategic insights into what motivates global consumers. Our market sizing team are an important part of our offer, using desk research, third-party and in-house data and extensive trade interviews to build market sizes across many of the world’s leading consumer economies. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering market size data to our clients and to our global analyst teams. You will be managing a team of researchers, and your duties will include recruitment, training, coaching and performance management of the team, as well as the monthly planning and implementation of the report production process. We cover most of the major food, drink and personal care categories, and the ideal candidate would have knowledge of retail and consumer landscape within the APAC region. You need to be comfortable working with data, and have experience of leading a team of researchers. What You Will Be Doing Hiring, training, coaching and developing the team members Monthly production planning and monitoring Quality Control Collaboration in the implementation of process changes and improvements Induction and training activities for other Departments Managing the relationships with the other content and commercial teams within Mintel Supporting colleagues with client queries and specific requests Who We Are Looking For are educated to degree level have 2+ years of experience in Quantitative Market Research have Project Management experience/skills have a strong interest in developing your career in a Management role have excellent analytical skills enjoy working with numbers are fluent in English (written and spoken). have excellent communication and collaboration skills feel confident in conducting online desk research for quality check purposes have a good knowledge of Excel and Word have a good understanding of the FMCG manufacturing and retail landscape of APAC What We Offer A culture that supports true collaboration whilst embracing remote working.
