The right candidate is someone who. Experienced accountant with a highly analytical mindset and strong attention to detail Great work ethic and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment Has a “can-do” attitude and is willing to take on ad-hoc tasks and challenges when needed Desire to improve reporting process and has experience implementing and operationalizing accounting systems and processes A collaborative spirit with excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Your Assignment Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes Review and Process Vendor Payments & Records Intercompany Reconciliation Foreign Exchange Reconciliation Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and reports Monthly Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliation Maintain Fixed Asset Schedules in accordance with GAAP Work closely with FP&A team and provide them with monthly variance analysis reports Prepare, post and maintain proper records of Journal Entries Estimate, analyze, and record month-end expense accruals to expense ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts Drive expense reporting process and procure-to-pay process to facilitate close and department expense analysis and is responsible for the results Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Assist with the external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information to auditors. Support annual independent audit and regulatory audits as required Assist with preparation of statutory tax returns Perform other related duties as assigned by Accounting Manager Your Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting 4-5 years of experience in General Accounting within small to medium size companies Strong understanding of US GAAP (Active or inactive CPA a plus, but not required) Previous B2B and startup experience preferred Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Certinia or ERP systems is a plus Strong financial analysis skills Experience with Intercompany preferred Understanding of Intercompany processes Effective communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills Experience with Excel / Google Sheets analysis and presentation skills Benefits Pay in USD 100% remote work Generous holidays and flexible PTO Competitive phantom equity Paid for exams and certifications Peer bonus awards State of the art laptop and tools Equipment & Office Stipend Individual professional development plan Annual stipend for Learning and Development Work with an amazing worldwide team and in an incredible corporate culture Caylent is a place where everyone belongs.
