We make the world better, and you can too.Senior Data Analyst, Sales & Operations Job location: This is position is to be located in our Ottawa, Canada office where the expectation is to work a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. About the team Reporting to the Director, Global Sales Operations, the Senior Data Analyst, Sales Operations, as a seasoned professional with extensive experience, will be a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business, designing data modelling, create/manage sales metrics, and dashboards, analyzing sales data and to provide actionable insights. What you will do Develop workable and measurable data products that identify and provide solutions to threats and opportunities that have the potential to influence how others conduct their work. Advanced knowledge with BI tool (e.g Power BI, Tableau, Domo) to create and manage dataset and ability to create calculated fields. Monitor the sales data to ensure data accuracy. Develop and manage the data dictionary for data used in the sales datasets. Gather and analyze data in order to understand problems and address them proactively. Ability to translate complex problems into simpler terms. Develop and manage all sales metrics and dashboards the team can leverage to perform insightful analysis. Proactively drives actionable recommendations based on insight from data analysis to the sales operations team and sales management. Compile and analyze data to forecast sales trends. Analyze historical sales data to identify trends in productivity and provide actionable recommendations. Perform processes from large / varied data sources, analyze data, spot patterns and behaviours. Investigate and implement ways to enhance data from source systems with new fields, calculations and visualizations. Manage the CRM (Salesforce) processes to ensure alignment with sales process. Identify, collect and manage system enhancement requests for sales and collaborate with IT to implement changes. Leads system tests/UAT for sales. Proactively identify opportunities for enhancements. Exceptional ability translating high-level business requirements into functional and system requirements to collaborate with IT to build solutions and complete projects. Position requires full working knowledge of the related business functions within the portfolio to facilitate and design business intelligent reporting solutions. Develop and maintain a user-friendly library of education materials, KBA, tools and resources. Leads regular data health check in CRM (Salesforce) for data cleanliness, data completeness, data enhancement, and data accuracy Manage multiple projects and contribute to other analysis projects. Collaborate closely with stakeholders across multiple business units to identify and analyze business processes, data models, and user and system requirements. Act as an advisor to sales and other teams across Kinaxis, offering coaching to a global Sales organization that drives action and change based on data-based Has comprehensive understanding of the theories and practices of change management to be able to guide the sales operations team through the implementation of new practices. What we are looking for MS or BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems 7+ years of experience in progressively Business Intelligence/Data Analysis positions; high-tech, global enterprise organization Experience producing information with BI tools like Power BI, Domo, Tableau, Cognos, and related software Skilled with advanced capabilities in SQL to analyze and troubleshoot data Experienced in working with and understanding of data models, structures, theories, principles, and practices An articulate oral and written communicator with the ability to translate user requirements into data technical specifications, data extracts and dashboards Experience partnering with stakeholders across business units, recommending and creating necessary data audits to ensure accurate reporting and solutions that benefit our Sales organization Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and ability to prioritize based on the needs of the business Work requires close attention to detail and the ability to focus for extended periods of time. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to arrive at sound recommendations; advanced working knowledge of Excel Self-starter, motivated to learn new skills, and has a proactive attitude with capability to effectively execute end-to-end deliverables. Must meet all security requirements of the position. Role Specific Skills and Qualifications Drive data improvement, quality, and efficiency of data. Develop processes and procedures for scalability and efficiency. Manage and track multiple forms of information while maintaining its' integrity. Position requires full working knowledge of the related business functions to facilitate and design business intelligent reporting solutions.
