About Raptee Energy: Raptee Energy is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI. We are seeking enthusiastic Sub-Assembly Line Design Interns to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in optimizing sub-assembly processes within the automotive industry. As an intern, you will contribute to the design and improvement of sub-assembly lines, ensuring efficiency and quality in our production. Job Responsibilities: The ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications and responsibilities: Automotive Mechanical Assemblies: Apply your understanding of automotive mechanical assemblies to enhance sub-assembly processes. Torque Calculation: Proficiency in calculating torque requirements for various fastening operations to ensure accurate assembly. SolidWorks 3D Modelling: Utilize SolidWorks or similar software to create 3D models for designing sub-assembly components and related jigs. Jig Design: Design jigs and fixtures for various sub-assemblies to improve assembly precision and efficiency. Workplace Ergonomics: Apply knowledge of workplace ergonomics to optimize workstations and processes for employee well-being. Assembly Line Understanding: Familiarity with automotive assembly lines and processes to contribute to sub-assembly line design. Time Study: Conduct time studies for the assembly process to identify areas for efficiency improvements and optimize production timelines. Requirements• Enthusiasm for learning about automotive sub-assembly processes and manufacturing. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in 3D modelling, particularly with SolidWorks or similar software. • Ability to design jigs and fixtures for improved assembly processes. • Understanding of workplace ergonomics principles. • Interest in automotive assembly lines and processes. • Familiarity with time study methodologies. • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in engineering, industrial design, or a related field.Benefits Opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
